little goals for 2011


Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great time counting down till 2011! Another year has come and gone and I'm so excited about this one! Lots of fun new changes to Crafted Love in the future but to start it all off, here are a few simple resolutions I have for this shiny new year.

This year, I will make an effort to accessorize more.
Throw on necklaces, actually change my earrings from time to time, etc.
This year, I will take more pictures of everyday adventures.
No matter how "mundane" they may seem. I'm also doing an Instagram 365 project!
This year, I will branch out on my Etsy creations.
Possibly start selling my stationery designs, paintings, etc.
This year, I will work on my handwriting.
[other than my basic architectural uppercase which I'm pretty proud of] by doodling more in sketchbooks.
This year, I will advertise on Elsiecake's blog.
This year, I will try to do a DIY project every weekend.
This year, I will step out of my comfort zone when it comes to food.
Pick something new from the menu instead of defaulting to me usual pasta dishes. I'm sure Mike is sitting there reading this, shaking his head in disbelief] However, I will not stop going to Fazoli's. That's just tradition :]
This year, I will follow my budget more closely.
Especially after Christmas presents [it's just so fun to buy gifts for everyone] I need to watch my wallet a little more.
This year, I will get another tattoo.
I have one dedicated to my mom. Now I need to get the one for my dad. I've got the design already in mind... It's gonna be sweet.
This year, I will start my Couch To 5k program.
I have an awesome app on my iPhone that will hopefully help me learn to love running once I get into 5k shape!
This year, I will do more yoga.
I want to be able to try aerial yoga when we move to a larger city and that will require I have amazing flexibility again.
This year, I will start doing giveaways on the blog.



Have a happy first day of 2011 everyone! The boy and I are off to my grandma's for a little NYD dinner/lunch. Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Yum. I used to hate it. Funny how things change as we get older. I planned on having my blog face-lift done before today but unfortunately it's taking me a little bit longer than I had expected. Hopefully in the next few days I'll be able to launch the new design with as few glitches as possible :]

  1. One of my goals is to do more yoga also- at least 1-2 a week. :)

    Yes it is crazy how the little traditions start to really matter. :) Lunch sounds yummy.
