so I'm a netflix addict...

It's a well known fact that I'm a movie buff and thoroughly enjoy watching any movie I can get my hands on. While Netflix isn't known for having award winning movies amongst it's titles, it is still addicting to flip on while blogging. My most recent adventures were with Outsourced and Prison Break

The plot behind Outsourced it pretty much given away in the title. It's about a call center manager who's company is being outsourced to India and he has to travel there to teach the new call center manager how to be more "American". While he's over there he realizes that Americanizing other countries isn't something that should be done and in the process learns to love India as a country. He ends up falling for one of the call center workers and gets thrown for a few loops and twists as the movie progresses.

It was a pretty cute indie movie over all. Mike got bored with it so I finished it later [I can't not finish a movie] Most romance movies are pretty predictable but I must say, this had an untypical ending which I won't give away. If you have Netflix, it's definitely worth throwing on your instant que.

While I was sick this past week [side note, thank you for all the warm wishes and healthy thoughts sent my way, they were very uplifting to read from my iPhone while laying in bed] I started watching season 1 of Prison Break and I'm not going to lie, I'm hooked. I remember when it was big and commercials were plastered all over the television screen but I think I was obsessed with another show at the time because I had no interest. I managed to finish all 21 episodes of the first season and in the process fell in love with ever last one of the characters. Ok, well not all of them. They are convicted felons but some did have endearing characteristics. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing season 2 on there somewhere but if I'm mistaken, I might cry. This show had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Mike and I have an Instant Que miles long and I'm not sure what we'll end up watching next but if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them! I'm always up for a new movie :]

  1. Nip/Tuck is my favorite show to watch on Instant. Oh, and L.A. Ink.
But my favorite go-to movies are The Bad Seed & Rosemary's Baby!
And I'm not sure if you are the Broadway musical type, but there's a really awesome documentary on Instant Netflix that is about the audition process for A Chorus Line. It's called "Every Little Step." Even if you aren't into musicals, it's a really, really good documentary!

  2. I usually can NOT NOT finish a movie, however, Jason tried really hard to find a movie that I would like last weekend and brought home "A Dog Year." Awful awful awful. 22 minutes in I said, "if it's still this bad at 30 minutes we'll turn it off." At 28 minutes we were back to watching lame shows on television. Bleh.

  3. I definitely need to check out Outsourced! I keep stopping at it, but then I always change my mind. But next time I stop, I'm actually going to push play.
    Have a great day!
