With Redbox and movie theaters, my poor little Netflix subscription has felt a little neglected. But not to worry, one of these movies is from my Netflix instant que and as I type this I am making it through the rest of my que. So expect many movie reviews to come :] Speaking of Netflix, Mike and I seem to have misplaced our mail-in Netflix movie. Whoops. Not sure what that means in the long run but for now, no mailed movies for us! I should get on finding that...

suckerpunch. Oh my goodness. I can't tell you how long I was waiting for this movie to hit theaters. I saw the first preview in another movie in the theaters back when it was 6+ months from being released. It looked so good and I'm a huge fan of anything where girls are kickin' ass and taking names :] Some people gave me a little crap because they are portrayed in risque outfits throughout the movie, but come on. If that's a problem, how about you rethink what you wear out every year for Halloween and then we can chat. Anyways, back to the movie. The plot line was a little lacking BUT the cinematography was absolutely amazing and honestly made me forget about the plot line until Mike was like "what the crap was that even about" haha. I honestly couldn't even tell you. It seemed to have a nice moral behind it but I'd have to watch it again to figure out what it was :] The soundtrack was amazing. Within the first song Mike and I turned to each other and said "We need to buy this". I really liked the movie but it got 3/10 on Rotten Tomatoes so I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'll let you decide for yourself :]

  1. The soundtrack is great, but I was really confused the whole time I watched Suckerpunch. Now Prince of Persia I loved even though as acting goes, it was poorly done.

  2. I'm glad you like it. Not my cup of tea. I do like your comment about the outfits though. So true.

  3. My boyfriend and I have been waiting for this to come out for soooo long. Then we read the bad reviews and our friends that saw it opening day in imax said it was bad... We have yet to see it. Maybe I'll ask him if he wants to give it a shot anyway. I mean...if we spent money to see Battle LA, then I don't see why we wouldn't give Suckerpunch a chance. Now Prince of Persia... I saw it. I sat through it, regardless of how bogus all the characters were. None of them were the right nationality and the super white teeth? Always gets me...

  4. I am a huge fan of the video game Prince of Persia, so I was really excited when the movie came out. It is not loyal to the game and it wasn't well done, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Who doesn't like Jake Gyllenhaal?

  5. I agree with you about Sucker Punch. The cinematography was beautiful and the battle scenes were really cool. I asked the same question at the end, "What was that about?"
