where has the time gone?

I'm here! I'm here! I haven't left you guys, I promise! Wow. It has been a whole month since I last posted. I am ashamed. But I'm back! I have a little DIY to show you in the next few days just in time to snag some after-Halloween deals. But before I dive into that, let me explain what I've been up to!

My cousin got married! October 6th to be exact. So I was very busy around that time. I had a lot of fun being a bridesmaid. Once the day came and went, though, I didn't know what to do with myself. No weddings to plan? Crazy. So I got to focus on slowly finishing up things around our apartment.

We are no where near fulling nested in, but I finally can see the floors in my office and I even printed out photos from the wedding (which I will show off as well in the near future).

I recently updated the Crafted Love fan page on Facebook! If you haven't "liked" us, please do! The more the merrier! Soon I will be posting goodies and deals that only Facebook fans will see, just to keep things interesting :]

Mike and I procrastinated a little too long this year on costumes so when it came time to go to my parents' huge Boo Bash, I scrounged together a Honey Boo Boo Child costume. Yep. I did it. And if it isn't apparent, Mike went as Magic Mike.

But the biggest news of all? And a major reason I haven't been around lately? I got a job! Well, I've always had a job, but I finally landed one in my career path! You're looking at the new Graphic Designer for a Dayton Marketing firm! It all happened pretty quickly actually. I had an interview where Mike works and that ended up a complete failure. It happens to the best of us. It just wasn't the place for me. I came home depressed and completely let down and was so frustrated that I sat down at my computer and emailed my resume and portfolio to two Dayton design firms. I had had enough. I was no longer going to just wait for openings to post online. I was going to be proactive.

Well, the very next day I got a call from one of them saying they would like to meet with me. Two days after that I got a call from the other one saying the same thing. Turns out, both thought I was pretty rad and wanted to bring me on their team. It just goes to show you, you can sit back and wait for life to fall into your lap :] Now I work for a company where I get to wear normal clothes to work, show off my tattoos, and design pretty things all day.

One last thing... see all that crazy long hair? It's getting chopped off this Friday. Yes, yes it's true. My days of long and tangled locks are soon to be over with. I've decided to go short and donate my red hair to Wigs for Kids. That is all, my friends.

  1. Baaaaahahahahahaha Magic Mike! Amazeballs.

  2. Wooohoo! I like having you back ;) Can't wait to see the wedding pictures, too!

  3. At least we know you were pro-active during this time. ;]

    Congrats on your new job!

  4. Congrats on it all!!! And I love hearing you are donating your hair to Wigs for Kids. Post before/after pictures please and thank you!

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to know what you think!
